• I have almost achieved my bronze certificate.

• My strengths are in being a community minded person because I sit down while eating

For art attack my goal was to produce a piece of art related to our local landscape using either paint, water color or pastel.

With Mrs Marsh I learned about foreground, midground and background in landscapes.

With Mr Forman I learned about colour and complementary colours.

With Mr Rule I looked at the different landscape features of Canterbury and Banks Peninsula.

I learned to say my age in Māori

My best sentence is Ko Ethan tōku ingoa.

I achieved my goal because I can pronounce 2 lines really well.

Next time I will learn my mihi off by heart.

ANZAC Writing

WALT write a diary entry using specific Vocabulary
I learned that good vocabulary makes writing more interesting.                                                    
I achieved my goal because I wrote a diary entry about ANZAC.
Next time I will be a little bit less distracted when writing.

Here are my best sentences: Dear diary,Days like this are not the same as they were before the war was on. The group said it would be a bad idea to go out there. The gunfire began, the bombs  exploded!!!

Learning to Blog

WALT add a post to our blog.                                                                                                                  

This is one I will be sharing my learning this year.

My next step with blogging is to add photos to my blog.

Music

WALT - sing the new school song.

Success criteria: Sing using the correct words and attempt to use the correct pitch.

Room 2 sang this beautifully, they used the correct volume and some of them hit some good notes whilst singing.  Keep on practicing room 2 and we could even get some of the moves into the song.-- 

Planting potatoes

WALT:  plant and take care of potatoes.

We can do this when:

• Get a suitable bucket to plant our potato in
• Plant the potato seed in the right amount of soil
• Water our potato on a regular basis
• Take our bucket out of class everyday to sit in the sun

Success Criteria:

1. Orientation - who (characters), what, where (setting)
2. Problem - what goes wrong?
